Twilight at the Bay : Chambers Bay Loop Trail

Twilight at the Bay is an evening running event held at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington. The event offers three distances on a wide, paved loop trail that includes flat sections, inclines, and switchbacks with panoramic views of the bay.

Distances:

  • 5k one loop
  • 10k two loops
  • Half marathon one longer loop plus three additional loops

Each loop has roughly 230 feet of elevation gain and runs clockwise. There is an aid station just over halfway around the loop (about mile 1.7) and an aid area at the start and finish (about mile 3.1); aid stations provide water and Gatorade, and the start/finish aid carries energy gels.

Race-day packet pick-up is available at the start/finish; advanced packet pick-up is not offered. Parking is in the Central Meadows lot or the North Driving Range lot with signage to guide participants. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area.

Strollers are permitted but must remain toward the back of the field behind competitive runners for safety. Dogs are not allowed due to USATF certification and insurance restrictions. All participants receive event swag and a custom finisher medal. The event enforces a strict no-litter policy; leaving trash on course can result in disqualification and future bans. Trail runs nearby

Hotfoot Trail Run, the 24th HotFoot 5K at South Kitsap Regional Park on June 20, 2026, features a mostly flat 5K loop and a 1 mile perimeter trail; preregistration fees, T-shirt sales, and community fundraising are part of the event.

Trail run at Carkeek Park offering 5K and 10K courses on forested trails with varied surfaces and climbs. Aid station at the start/finish and post-race food, awards, and a raffle.
