Twilight at the Bay

Twilight at the Bay is a running event held at the Chambers Bay Loop Trail in University Place, Washington. The course utilizes the paved loop surrounding the Chambers Bay golf course, providing panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Narrows Bridge during the evening. The event features multiple distance options held on a clockwise loop that includes a mixture of flat sections, inclines, and switchbacks.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 5 km - Consists of one full loop of the paved trail.
  • 10 km - Consists of two full loops of the paved trail.
  • Half Marathon - Includes one unique longer loop followed by three standard loops.

The course features approximately 236 feet of elevation gain per loop. Aid stations are positioned near the 1.7-mile mark and at the start and finish area, providing water, electrolyte drinks, and energy gels. The event is held on a wide, paved trail, and strollers are permitted if positioned at the back of the starting group. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Facilities at the venue include a designated drop bag area at the start and finish line. Parking is available at the Central Meadows parking lot or the North Driving Range lot.
