Event Overview

The Motion for Justice 5K is a road race held at Rocketts Landing in Richmond, Virginia. The course is a 5 km run along the paved Virginia Capital Trail, offering views of the James River.

The course is described as paved and flat. A water station is located at the turnaround point, approximately 1.55 miles into the route. The event also includes a "Back of the Pack" series for participants with slower paces. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as to the first and second place male and female finishers in standard age group categories.

Registration includes a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations received before May 6. The event also offers a virtual participation option.

A 5K run and walk at Appomattox River Regional Park in N. Prince George on April 11, 2026. All participants receive a medal and awards will recognize top overall and age group finishers; early registrants receive T shirts while sizes last.

Four teams of eight runners will complete a 122.4 mile relay at Pocahontas State Park on April 24 and 25, 2026, with proceeds supporting Kids On The Move, a Sports Backers youth running program.

Pocahontas Trail Festival at Pocahontas State Park on October 4, 2026 offers a Half Marathon and a 10k on redesigned trail loops with chipped timing. Water stations are near miles 3, 6 and 9 and awards are given by age group.
