MoRun Southampton

MoRun Southampton is a running event held at Southampton Common that supports the Movember charity to raise awareness for men's health. The event features multiple distance options for participants, all taking place on a course within the park grounds. The terrain consists of a mix of paths and trail running, including undulating sections and some grass areas near the event hub.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 1.5 km Mini MoRun (fully chip timed)
  • 5 km MoRun (one lap)
  • 10 km MoRun (two laps)
  • Half Marathon (one 1.1 km loop followed by four full laps)

The event is chip timed, providing runners with both gun times and net times for their results. The course is open to the public and is dog-friendly. While buggy running is possible, some sections of the route may be bumpy or muddy.

The event hub is located near the Hawthorns Café and the playground. Facilities on-site include a manned bag storage area, toilets, and a registration tent where runners collect their race packs, including a race number and a dedicated headband. All finishers receive a medal, and various spot prizes are awarded for categories such as best dressed and "Legend of MoRunning." Water and snacks are provided at the finish line.
