Trail Running in Hampshire
The Froyle event offers a variety of ways to explore the countryside around Froyle Village. The main course takes participants through open public footpaths in the Hampshire landscape, featuring undulating terrain and views of the South Downs. The route includes approximately 190m of elevation and short sections of singletrack path.
Available distances and formats include:
- 10 km Trail Race
- 10 km Trail Walk
- Kids Colour Dash
The event is designed to be inclusive, with no time limit imposed on the 10 km route. Tail runners are provided to support those at the back of the pack. The 10 km course is well-marked and includes a water station at the halfway point and another at the finish line.
The Kids Colour Dash is a family-oriented activity consisting of two laps around the recreation ground. Participants are sprayed with organic, gluten-free throwing powder at various paint stations. This part of the event is open to children aged 4 to 12 and requires eye protection, which is provided by the organizers.
Facilities at the Froyle Village Hall include toilets, medical services, and a registration area. The village hall also serves refreshments such as hot drinks and homemade treats. Free parking is provided near the start and finish area. All participants across the different events receive a unique medal and access to free digital event photography.
