Spring Trail Series - Ultra X

The Spring Trail Series takes place on 18 April 2026 within the South Downs National Park. The event is centered at the Cowdray Estate in West Sussex, specifically near the Cowdray Farm Shop in Midhurst. The routes utilize the Serpent Trail, featuring a landscape of greensand hills, rivers, woodland, and lowland heath.

The event is designed with a central event village where all participants start and finish at the same location. This village includes an expo area with merchandise, food, and hot drinks. On-site parking is available for participants. For those wishing to stay overnight, camping pitches for Friday and Saturday nights can be purchased during the registration process.

There are five different distances available to participants:

  • 110 km
  • 50 miles
  • 50 km
  • 25 km
  • 12 km

The courses are fully marked, and medical support is provided throughout the duration of the race. Fully stocked aid stations are positioned along the routes. Participants receive a finisher's medal, and those competing in the 110 km distance have access to a GPS tracker and a drop bag service to a midway point. The event features relaxed cutoff times, averaging over two hours to complete each 10 km section between checkpoints. Some distances are UTMB World Series Indexed races (100K, 50K, and 20K categories). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
