Moreau Half

The Moreau Half takes place on October 31, 2026 in Gansevoort, NY at Moreau Lake State Park. The event starts and finishes at the park beach and is organized as a trail half marathon style race.

The course runs roughly 14 miles with about 2700 feet of elevation gain. It follows winding technical singletrack through the park trail system and includes one aid station at Bonita Lake located at about six miles into the route. The organizer notes that most runners should expect substantially slower times than on road courses and many may take about twice their road half marathon time on this course.

There is no park entry fee for participants and parking is available near the beach. Registration information includes a deadline of October 28 and a shirt guarantee date of October 18. Published entry fees range from USD 38.50 to USD 43.50.
