The Moonlight Bootlegger 5k is a night trail event held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Hagan Stone Park, 5920 Hagan-Stone Park Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313. The course runs on rolling, lightly rooted trails and is marked with live bluegrass music and more than 300 LED tea lights. Athletes must carry a headlamp or flashlight. The event includes a spectator option in addition to the race entries.

Registration and race features
Entry for the 5k events is listed at $40; the spectator option is listed at $20. Prices increase after October 31, 2025. Registration notes specify a shirt guarantee only if participants register at least two weeks before the race. Registration rules state no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier than 30 days a 50% refund may be requested (processing fees excluded). Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee; entries cannot be deferred to another event or year.
Included with registration are a custom race shirt (subject to the guarantee deadline), two post-race cocktail or mocktail tickets, post-race food, live pre- and post-race music, and a commemorative moonshine mason jar.
