Event

The Moonlight Bootlegger is a night trail 5K scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Hagan Stone Park, 5920 Hagan-Stone Park Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313. The course runs on rolling, lightly rooted trails and is marked with hundreds of LED tea lights and live bluegrass music along the way. The event takes place after dark; athletes are required to bring a headlamp or flashlight.

Logistics and policies

Registration includes a custom Bootlegger 5K shirt (guaranteed for registrations made at least two weeks before race day), two tickets for post-race cocktails or mocktails, post-race food, pre- and post-race bluegrass and old timey music, and a commemorative moonshine mason jar.

If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the control of the race director, refunds will not be made; race packets, including shirts, will be made available at a location to be determined. No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event. Earlier than 30 days, a request may be made for a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be deferred to another year; entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee and shirt size cannot be changed. Run At The Rock returns to Cedarock Park in Burlington NC with 5K 10K and half marathon trail races on scenic, moderately technical single track. Registration includes a race hoodie and a finisher medal that doubles as a drink coaster.
