The Big Run 5K - Kernersville
The Big Run 5K is a community running event held on June 6, 2026 at Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, North Carolina. The event marks Fleet Feet’s 50th anniversary and coincides with Global Running Day. Fleet Feet Winston-Salem & Clemmons host the event and Brooks is listed as a sponsor.
The course is a cross-country loop at Ivey Redmon Park. The timed 5K is run in two heats based on expected finish time: one heat for runners expecting to finish under 30 minutes and a second heat for runners expecting longer times. There is also an untimed 1-mile fun run.

Awards and timing use gun or clock time because chip start times are not recorded for cross-country starts. Heats are combined for age group awards. Award categories include Top 3 overall male and female, First Place Masters male and female, and Top 3 per age group male and female. Age groups begin at 9 & under and continue in standard ranges up to 80 & over.
Online registration closes on race morning. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet Winston-Salem and on race day at Ivey Redmon Park.
