MonsterDASH LOUISVILLE : Oct 25, 2026

MonsterDASH Louisville is a themed family running event that for 2026 adds a half marathon and moves to a morning schedule. The event keeps an annual monster theme with past themes including Dracula, witches, mummies and zombies. Costume contests, raffles, music, large inflatables and selfie opportunities are part of the event atmosphere.

Event distances include:

  • 10k
  • 5k
  • Kids 1 Mile

Course details: the 5k is a lollipop loop on packed gravel and bike path, described as fast and flat with tree cover and one water stop passed twice. Strollers and pets are allowed on the 5k. The 10k follows the 5k route plus an east loop of about 1.5 miles, includes one short steep hill and an additional water stop. The kids 1 mile is a timed run.

What participants receive: choice of runner buff, running hat, finisher medal, a branded pint glass, popcorn or cotton candy and hot dog at the 5k and 10k, glow sticks, and age group gifts. A sports expo with freebies, snacks and drinks accompanies the race. The event is presented as a family festival with activities geared toward children and families.
