Moab Trailfest - Moab, Utah (Sept 16 to 20, 2026)
Moab Trailfest is a three-day timed trail running event that visits distinct red-rock trails near Moab, Utah. Festival headquarters and basecamp are at the Old Spanish Trail Arena in Moab, with on-site bathrooms, showers, a pavilion, and camp facilities.
- Pritchett Arch - 13.5 miles
- Gemini Bridges - 16.75 miles
- Porcupine Rim - 14.6 miles
Courses feature slickrock, sandy single-track, rocky trails, steep climbs, and exposed sections, with high-desert plants such as juniper and sagebrush. Each race includes at least one aid station roughly halfway that provides water, electrolyte drink, gels, fresh fruit, and a mix of salty and sweet items. The event uses a cup-free approach so runners should bring a reusable cup or personal hydration system.
Logistics include mandatory race shuttles to remote start lines and a single race bib with an integrated timing chip for all three days. Camping, glamping, and limited RV spots are offered; meals for registered runners include a grab-and-go breakfast and a catered dinner buffet. Afternoon and evening basecamp activities typically include yoga, keynote talks, live music, film screenings, and nightly awards and finisher medals. Volunteers may earn race credit for service.
