Mitchell's Mountain 5K Trail Race + 1k Dash for Hope
Mitchell's Mountain 5K Trail Race + 1k Dash for Hope takes place on June 27, 2026 at Kessler Mountain in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The event supports Mitchell’s Mountain, an organization that serves families affected by autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities through respite care, a planned long-term residential community, and local family events.
The schedule begins with the 1K Dash for Hope followed shortly by the 5K Trail Race. Organizers will briefly honor and cheer for the families and individuals who complete the 1K before the 5K begins.
Distances
- 5K Trail Race: course via Outfield Trailhead, Judge Cummings Road, Saddle Up, Escalator, Last Call.
- 1K Dash for Hope: adaptive out-and-back on Judge Cummings Road, walk/jog/run/shuffle format.
Course and accessibility notes: the 1K takes place on an adaptive trail with some slight incline and is designed to allow autism families and families with other I/DD to participate together. The 5K route starts near Outfield Trailhead, follows Judge Cummings Road and West Judge Cummings Road, connects to Saddle Up at Soccer Trailhead, continues to Escalator and Last Call, then runs down Fayetteville Traverse and returns to Judge Cummings Road.
