The Frozen Toes 5K & 15K is the City of Fayetteville’s annual cold-weather trail running race at Kessler Mountain Regional Park. The event is scheduled for January 24, 2026. Both courses start and finish at the Kessler Mountain Baseball Complex. The course surface is about 95% singletrack; the 15K includes several technical sections. The event is presented as an option for runners moving from shorter road races or trying a first trail race.

Registration is open online from August 15 through January 22, with in-person registration available January 23-24 subject to capacity. Fees listed are $35 for adult 15K or 5K and $15 for youth 5K. Registration includes custom event socks, a finisher medal, hot soup, a complimentary beer, and other items. Packet pick-up is available at the Fayetteville Parks office the day before and at Kessler Mountain on race day. Awards are given to the top three overall and top three in each age group. Timing will be provided by Race Wizard and official event photos will be taken. On-course and post-race provisions include fruit, bagels, soup, water, sports drink, coffee, hot cocoa, heated restrooms for changing, and raffle prizes.
