The Midsummer Munro

The Midsummer Munro is a Half Marathon held on Saturday 28 June 2026 at Box Hill Fort, at the top of Box Hill in Tadworth, Surrey (KT20 7LB). Parking is available in the National Trust carpark; parking is free for National Trust members.

The course is described as "gratuitously difficult" and has total height gain and loss of more than 3000 feet, an elevation change likened to a Scottish Munro and referred to as an "ultra-half." The route runs mostly on rough tracks and passes locations offering views over the North Downs, the Mole Gap, Denbies Vineyard, and Dorking.

The event is described in the organiser's materials as a run for "very hearty man fellows and lady fellows." The information provided focuses on the course profile, terrain, and landscape rather than on start or finish times. Additional logistical details such as entry procedures and race day arrangements are handled separately by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
