Middle Fork Trail Run
Middle Fork Trail Run is a trail running event near North Bend, WA that starts at the Middle Fork Trailhead and follows the Middle Fork and CCC trails. The courses run through old-growth forest and lush woodland, with views of rugged mountain slopes, cliffs, and the swiftly flowing Middle Fork Snoqualmie River.
Distances offered include:
- 50k: 50.0 km, 4090 ft climb
- 22 miles: 22.2 mi, 2390 ft climb
- Half Marathon: 21.1 km, ~1450 ft climb
- 10k: 10.52 km, 810 ft climb
Routes follow river valleys and include modest climbs with sections that meander up and down valley slopes. The 50k and 22-mile courses cross Burnt Boot Creek, which is usually wadeable; organizers may build a minimal log bridge to allow a dry-foot crossing for those comfortable on logs. The 50k course includes multiple out-and-back segments and passes near Goldmyer Hot Springs.
Aid stations are placed along each course: five on the 50k, three on the 22-mile, two on the half marathon, and one on the 10k. Stations provide water, electrolyte drink, and a range of carbohydrate-rich foods such as gels, cookies, bars, and fruit. Distances to aid stations are published for each race.
Distances and elevation were measured using a measuring wheel, a calibrated bike odometer, and a Suunto Ambit watch; distance is likely within 1% and climb within 5%. A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trailhead. Dogs are not allowed on course under USATF policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
