Mid-State Mile : Franklin, TN

The Mid-State Mile is a Last Person Standing event held on private land at 9600 Big East Fork Rd, Franklin, Tennessee. Each loop covers one mile with approximately 340 feet of elevation gain. The course, called The Murder Mile, follows an old logging road with wide double-track. Runners encounter two climbs, fast runnable sections between them, and an easy downhill through a field back to the start and finish area.

Runners must complete each loop within a 20 minute limit and be in the starting corral ready to begin the next loop. At the start of a loop runners must leave the corral and take two steps past the starting line. Runners who return after the 20 minute limit are eliminated. No runner may accept aid while on the course. The event includes rules for declaring a winner that require a final solo completion of a loop within the time limit.

All entries initially go to a waitlist. Organizers will begin confirming entries on January 3; the first 85 entries are automatically added without invitation emails. Past participants are prioritized in the initial selection and remaining slots are filled mostly in waitlist order. Registration closes June 19 at 11:59 PM CT. Training plans, camping gear, and tent rentals are offered by the organizer. Spectators are welcome but must follow event rules. No pets are allowed. There are no refunds or rollovers.
