MeadowGold 11K & 5K : Meadow Mountain, Minturn CO
The MeadowGold 11K and 5K take place on Meadow Mountain in the Town of Minturn, Colorado, and serve as the final race in the Vail Recreation District's Vail Trail Running Series. The route crosses mountain meadows and passes historic features from past agricultural and ski uses of Meadow Mountain.

Course characteristics for the longer distance include a technical singletrack ascent on West Grouse Trail, multiple stream crossings, fields of wildflowers, and a descent on Line Shack Trail with open views of Vail Mountain and the Gore Range. The shorter route follows Line Shack Trail with a roughly 1.5 mile ascent through meadows and past old homesteads before a turnaround and return to the finish.
Course statistics from the organizer's GPX data include written elevation gain of 1,362 feet for the longer course and 553 feet for the shorter. Surfaces are predominantly single track and dirt trail, with the 11K reported as about 80% single track and the 5K as about 40% single track.
Because the course is more remote, aid stations will provide water and Skratch hydration drink. The event follows a minimal waste approach and encourages reusable hydration.
