Vail Berry Picker Trail Run
The Berry Picker Trail Run is an uphill mountain race held on Vail Mountain in Colorado. Participants navigate a course that transitions from the base of the mountain to Mid-Vail, primarily using singletrack and doubletrack trails. The route features a significant gain in elevation with a steep average grade throughout the ascent.
The course covers a total distance of approximately 4.3 miles (6.9 km). Runners begin near Gondola One in Vail Village and ascend via the Berry Picker Trail. The path includes a traverse onto Lower Fireweed and a final stretch on the Mountain Access Road before reaching the finish line at Mid-Vail. The course reaches a high point of 10,154 feet with a total elevation gain of 2,013 feet. The maximum grade encountered during the climb is +20.5 percent.

The event follows a papercup-less policy, so participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration devices or reusable cups. An aid station providing water and electrolyte drinks is located approximately 1.9 miles into the course. Upon finishing at the top, runners are provided with refreshments including donuts and fresh fruit. Custom race t-shirts are provided to participants at the finish line, and an awards ceremony for various age categories takes place at Mid-Vail. Spectators can access the finish area via the gondola during a specific morning window. Parking is available at the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures.
