The MCRRC Seneca Creek Greenway Trail Marathon & 50K takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Gaithersburg, MD. The venue is Seneca Creek State Park (Nuthatch Pavilion), 11950 Clopper Road. The event offers these distances:

Registration opens October 15, 2025. The entry fee is $68 for each distance. The races are open to participants aged 18 and older. Current MCRRC members receive a $5 discount that is applied automatically at checkout when signed in.

Course and race features

The course follows single-track and parallel trails along Seneca Creek in Seneca Creek State Park. The trail is described as muddy, rocky, rooty, and hilly, with steep sections but no major overall elevation gain or loss. Marathon and 50K participants may choose their final distance when returning to the finish; runners can stop at the marathon distance or continue on to complete the 50K.
