Matchmakers & Mimosas 5K - Golden Road
The event takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Golden Road Vineyards, 542 Golden Road, State Road, NC 28676. The organizer offers three event options:
- 5K
- Sip & Stroll
- Virtual 5K
The on-site course is set in and around the vineyards and will include grass and cross-country style terrain. Chip timing will be used for the start and finish. Water stations will be available at approximately every 1.5 miles. Packet pickup is held on race morning starting one hour prior to the race start.
Entry, awards and other logistics
Regular registration (ends 02/07) is listed at $35 for each event. Late and race-day pricing applies: late registration increases before race day and race-day fees are higher. Participants registered by 02/04 are guaranteed race swag in their size; afterwards swag is available while supplies last. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal and a complimentary mimosa; juice and water will be provided for participants under 21. The Sip & Stroll division includes the same race goodies with no requirement to run.
Awards include top 3 overall male and female, top 3 in Masters (40+), Grand Master (50+), Senior Master (60+), and top 3 in five-year age groups from 10 & under through 80+. Virtual participants may run off-site, submit a time by the end of race day, and receive virtual packages shipped the Monday after the event to the continental US.
