Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile Run (MMT 100)

The Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile Run is an annual 100 mile trail ultramarathon held in the Massanutten Mountains within the George Washington National Forest in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. The 2026 edition is the 30th running and takes place at Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp in Fort Valley, VA, located between the East and West ridges of the Massanutten range.

The course is a rocky, single-loop trail with short mountain climbs that together account for more than 18,000 feet of ascent. A 36 hour race cutoff applies. The event offers on-site lodging at the camp as well as information about nearby off-site hotels. Entry for the race is open.

Organizers publish a Participants’ Guide that contains logistical details for runners, crews, and pacers and recommend printing or saving it for race weekend. The host club sponsors a series of training runs on the course beginning on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in January and typically continuing into April. Volunteers support aid stations, logistics, and safety operations throughout the event. Results, historical records, and past reports are maintained for reference.
