Marshfield Mudlark 2026

The Marshfield Mudlark is a community running event held on Sunday 11 October 2026 at Withymead Playing Fields, Withymead Road, Marshfield, Chippenham SN14 8PA. The event takes place in the morning and offers family friendly running across fields and lanes in the surrounding countryside.

Distances and age guidance:

  • 2 km Mudling (ages 4+; KS1 children are recommended to be accompanied)
  • 5 km Mudlite (off road; adults and juniors aged 11+)
  • 11 km Mudlark (ages 16+; routes through fields and lanes)

Routes cross private land and are open only for the duration of the event; local farmers have granted temporary access. Race times are recorded by DB Max. Entries are required in advance; there are no entries on the day.

The event is organised on behalf of Marshfield Primary School PTA and raises funds for the village school. Sponsorship forms can be collected from the school and a Race Nation fundraising page is available after entry confirmation. As a charity fundraising event, entry names can be changed at any time, or a 50% refund of the ticket price is available up to one month before the event.

A mixed-terrain *10 km* organised by Emersons Green Running Club at Mangotsfield School, limited to 200 entries, with recycled-material medals and proceeds funding tree planting.

An outdoor functional fitness competition featuring five 20 minute AMRAP workouts that test strength, endurance and carry skills. Categories include pairs and teams of four with age group divisions and prizes for top finishers.

Hazelbury Hurrah! is a multi terrain running event in Corsham on 10 July 2026 with a main six mile course and a 2 km junior race. The race is Trail Running Association licensed and supports local charities.

Teams of three race from the Packhorse pub to a Midford cider farm and back over an off road route, collecting and carrying a full barrel. Fancy dress is compulsory and prizes include fastest teams and best costume.
