Marriott's Way Marathon

Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon

The Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon returns for its third year and raises funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Both races use sections of the Marriott's Way and finish at Aylsham Friendship Hall. The full marathon follows the Marriott's Way from Norwich while the half marathon starts at Whitwell and Reepham Station. The route is largely traffic free and described as easy to follow; runners and walkers are welcome with generous time allowances. The course has not been measured by a UKA approved measurer, so distances are approximate.

Entry fees are stated by category: full marathon UKA member £46 and non member £48; half marathon UKA member £36 and non member £38. Coach transport to the starts is available at an extra cost of £12 per person. Five percent of each entry fee will be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance and a £2 reduction applies for verified UK Athletics members. The event is limited to 400 participants overall. Minimum ages on race day are 18 for the marathon and 17 for the half marathon. Entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred, but transfers to another runner are permitted until 13/02/2027.

Race logistics include on the day race number collection, race numbers issued on the coach for those travelling by bus, water and snacks on the route, first aid provision, hot drinks and snacks at the finish, unique medals for all finishers, and prizes for the top three in both female and male or open categories. The event is licensed by the ARC and held under UK Athletics rules with permit ARC/27/0007. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
