Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon
Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon are organised as a charity event raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The races take place on a largely traffic-free route and welcome both runners and walkers with generous time allowances. The course distances are approximate because the route has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer.
The event includes the following distances:
- Full Marathon follows Marriott's Way from Norwich
- Half Marathon starts at Whitwell and Reepham Station
Entry fees differ for UK Athletics members and non-members. Coach transport to the starts is available for an additional fee and coaches depart from Aylsham Market Place, NR11 6EL. A 5% donation from each entry is given to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. A £2 fee reduction applies for verified UK Athletics members.
The event is limited to 400 participants overall. Minimum ages on race day are 18 for the marathon and 17 for the half marathon. Race numbers are collected on the day; those travelling by coach receive numbers on the coach. Water and snacks are provided on the route, first aid services are available, and finishers receive a unique medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in female and male/open categories.
