Run for the Springs 5K
The Run for the Springs 5K is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2027, at Marion County Airport, 14968 SW 110th Street, Dunnellon, FL 34432. The event distance is 3.1 miles and will take place on airport property, with participants exposed to the sights and sounds of aircraft operations.
The course is described as trail style and includes a variety of surfaces such as pavement, asphalt, gravel, and other uneven terrain. Participants are advised to wear appropriate footwear and to participate at their own risk.
Awards will be given to top finishers in each age group, and a Traveling Cup will be presented to the fastest team. Teams must include at least three participants to be eligible for the team competition.
Registration information includes a fee of $30.00 and opportunities for an Early Bird discount and a discounted rate for Marion County employees. The official race shirt has a registration deadline of midnight on Friday, January 29, 2027. Long sleeved race shirts are available for an additional $10. Early packet pick up is scheduled for February 22–26, 2027 at the Marion County Office of the County Engineer in Ocala.
