Magna Carta Winter : 21 February 2026

The Magna Carta event is part of a series of runs held by Hermes Running. The winter event is scheduled for 21 February 2026, with a summer edition planned for June 2026 (date to be confirmed). Routes and logistics

  • 10 km
    The route uses one short out-and-back loop (about 1.0 mile) toward Staines Bridge plus one out-and-back 5.27 mile section to Old Windsor Lock. The listed course distance is 6.27 miles, 10.09 km (allowing for GPS variance).

  • Half marathon
    The course includes two short out-and-back loops (about 1.3 miles each) toward Staines Bridge plus two out-and-back 5.27 mile sections to Old Windsor Lock. The listed distance is 13.14 miles (allowing for GPS variance).

  • Marathon
    The marathon is composed of five 5.27 mile out-and-back sections to Old Windsor Lock. The listed distance is 26.35 miles (allowing for GPS variance).

Turnaround points for all distances are fully marked and well marshalled. Event materials include course maps, GPX routes, a route video, and a medal for 2026.
