MacTuffX Bedford is a functional fitness racing event held at Barkers Lane, MK41 9SB on 30 August 2026. Entrants must be aged 18 or over on the day. The format mixes running intervals with ten prescribed Xercises, each defined by specific reps, distances or weights and by male and female weight divisions.

Race formats and entry prices include:

  • Solo X - 10 x 400 m, entry £65
  • Solo 2X - 10 x 800 m, entry £80
  • Doubles X - 10 x 400 m, team entry £120
  • Doubles 2X - 10 x 800 m, team entry £140
  • Relay X - 10 x 400 m, team entry £140
  • Relay XX - 10 x 800 m, team entry £165

Relay teams are formed of five members; each team member completes two runs plus Xercises. Examples of listed Xercises include walking lunge 100 m, alternating snatch 80 reps, kettlebell deadlift 80 reps, Zercher carry 250 m, burpee broad jump 100 m, and several slamball and sandbag movements with specified weights for men and women. A LITE division offers reduced competition weights and is available at registration.

Trail runs nearby

Fully marked trail races at Winwick Hall feature 10k and 5k routes plus a 2k children’s fun run. Courses cross grassland and country paths, on-course support and charity donations to the Bruce Green Foundation are part of the event.

A chip timed 10 km race around Highfield Park and the Alban Way in St Albans on 19 July 2026. The event village features a free family fun run, kids zone, live music and a charity partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK.

An obstacle 5k at Priory Park, Bedford on 25 July 2026 featuring climbs, crawls and muddy obstacles. Organised by Cancer Research UK, it uses staggered wave starts, has basic on site facilities and is not suitable for wheelchair users.

A lapped 5.3 km course around Old Warden on Saturday 01 August 2026, with distances from 5 km to ultra, a seven hour time limit and a flexible one hour start window. Entry includes a paid medal option or a lower-cost no-medal choice; places..
