Course and logistics

The park covers over 1,300 acres of trails. All courses begin with a sustained climb on Lord Hill; most elevation is concentrated in that initial hill. The 10-mile loop is the primary lap. The 20-mile and 50K courses repeat the 10-mile loop two and three times, respectively. Course surface includes rocky sections, slippery bridges, creek crossings, and technical descents. Trails remain open to other users, including equestrians, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Elevation gain (approximate):

  • 5K: 650 ft
  • 10M: 1800 ft
  • 20M: 3600 ft
  • 50K: 5400 ft

Aid station locations (approximate):

  • 10M: 4.5 miles
  • 20M: 4.5, 10, 14.5 miles
  • 50K: 4.5, 10, 14.5, 20, 24.5 miles

Due to limited parking, 5K and 10-mile participants park off-site at Monroe High School and use a continuous shuttle to the start/finish area. The kids race is a single-track trail of about 0.9 mile with minimal elevation gain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
