Lone Wolf South West is an ultra endurance running event held at Haldon Forest, meeting at The Ridge Café in Exeter. The format is a repeating hourly loop: participants start a loop each hour and must complete it within 60 minutes to continue. This cycle runs for 24 hours, with the final lap decided as a race to the finish.

The course follows undulating forest track terrain and includes sections of stony tracks and single-track paths. The event recognises multiple distance options:

  • ultra marathon

Onsite facilities include a café with indoor space for changing and resting, toilets, water points and a first aid station. Paid parking is available at the location. T-shirts are available for purchase and will be distributed on the morning of the event. Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted and spectators may use the start and finish area to watch.

Participants are aged 18 and over. Organisers provide guidance on punctuality at the start line each hour and on tie-breaking procedures for the final lap. Awards include wooden medals for participants and a handmade wooden trophy for the overall winner. Race information notes that phone signal can be poor in parts of the forest. A fell running event at Meldon Reservoir featuring a five mile senior race climbing 1,362 ft to High Willhays and return, plus junior races over 2 km and 4 km. The course requires self navigation and includes compulsory checkpoints.

A multi terrain running event in Beer, East Devon on 17 May 2026 offering 10 mile, 6 mile and a fun run. The not for profit race supports Beer Primary School PTFA and features coastal trails with significant elevation on the 10 mile route.

Langstone Fell Race runs from Peter Tavy across Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the Langstone over roughly 10 km, with 2k and 5k options and junior races; parking, toilets and post-race refreshments are provided.
