Little Duck 50k - Windham, ME

The Little Duck 50k is a trail running event in Windham, Maine, held at the East Windham Conservation Area on October 18, 2026. The event offers a multi-lap ultramarathon and a shorter loop option within the local conservation lands.

Distances offered:

  • 50k: five 6.5 mile loops, total 32.5 miles
  • 10k: one 6.5 mile loop

The course uses the Purple, Red, and Blue trails in sequence and is run as repeated loops that begin and end at the East Windham Conservation Area parking. Each loop includes roughly 900 to 1000 feet of elevation gain. There are two aid stations per loop; stations provide snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks. Volunteers track runner progress and organizers maintain a no runner left behind policy, remaining until the final finisher completes the course. Participants who stop early receive official results for the distance they completed; for example, three completed loops are recorded as a 30k finish. Runners receive a event t-shirt, described as most likely a cotton Hanes shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
