Little Duck 50k : Windham, ME

The event takes place at the East Windham Conservation Area in Windham, ME and offers two trail distances.

Distances

  • 50k Trail Race: five laps of 6.5 miles each, totaling 32.5 miles
  • 10k Trail Race: one lap of the same course

The looped course follows the Purple, Red, and Blue trails. Each loop includes roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. The course uses two aid stations per loop, with one aid station located at the parking lot at the Lowell Preserve and the start/finish aid station at the EWCA parking lot. Stations provide snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks.

The race records finished distance by completed laps, so participants who stop before completing all laps receive results for the total distance they completed. Volunteers keep track of runner progress, and organizers remain until the final finisher crosses the line. Runners who complete the course receive a shirt, most likely a cotton Hanes. The initial event size is projected to be between 10 and 50 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
