Liberty Park Endurance Runs

The Liberty Park Endurance Runs are fixed-time running events at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Participants complete as many laps as possible on the park's paved multi-use perimeter path. Each lap is approximately 1.4 miles.

Event options include 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour individual, and a 12 hour relay new for 2026. The fixed-time format lets participants pursue personal distance goals while remaining on the same loop.

The course follows the paved loop around the park. One aid station offers sweet and salty snacks and liquids each loop, and participants may set up a personal area to access supplies. This is a cupless event so runners must bring their own cup or water bottle.

All loops are run counterclockwise and only full loops count toward totals. Course cutting, littering, or disrespectful behavior can result in disqualification. 12 hour individual entrants may start anytime within the event's first three hours and may end their run early by notifying a volunteer. Relay teams may include up to four people, must make transitions at the start line area, and will use a single timing device.

Top female and top male in each event receive a winner's award. Proceeds support the Salt Lake City Track Club, a volunteer run nonprofit that organizes local running activities.
