Liberty Park Endurance Runs
The Salt Lake City Track Club organizes a fixed-time endurance event at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Participants choose a timed event and complete as many miles as they can before time expires. Event options include 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour individual, and 12 hour relay formats.
The course is the paved multi-use loop around the park, with laps of approximately 1.4 miles. One aid station on course provides sweet and salty snacks and liquids each loop. This is a cupless event, so participants must carry their own cup or water bottle if they want to use the aid station.
Rules require all laps to be run in the counterclockwise direction and only full laps count toward totals. Course cutting, littering, or disrespectful behavior can result in disqualification. Relay teams may include up to four people; teams receive a single timing device and must make transitions at the start line area. Individual 12 hour entrants may stop earlier and should inform a race volunteer when they finish.
Top male and female finishers in each event receive a winner’s award. Proceeds support the Salt Lake City Track Club, a volunteer-run nonprofit that organizes local running activities and races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
