Liberty Park Endurance Runs
The Salt Lake City Track Club organizes the Liberty Park Endurance Runs, a fixed-time running event held on the paved multi-use path around the perimeter of Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Runners attempt to complete as many miles as they can within a chosen time block.
Event options include 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour individual, and 12 hour relay. Laps around the loop are approximately 1.4 miles long. On-course hydration is provided by Tailwind Nutrition. One aid station offers sweet and salty snacks and liquids each loop, and participants may set up a personal area to access their own supplies. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring a cup or water bottle.
All loops are run counterclockwise. Only full laps are counted toward totals once time expires. Course cutting, littering, or disrespectful behavior may result in disqualification. Volunteers and fellow participants are expected to be treated with respect.
Popular goal distances:
- Half Marathon: 10 laps, 14.2 miles
- Marathon: 19 laps, 27.0 miles
- 50 km: 22 laps, 31.3 miles
- 50 Miler: 36 laps, 51.2 miles
- 100 km: 44 laps, 62.6 miles
- 100 Miler: 71 laps, 101.0 miles
Proceeds support the Salt Lake City Track Club, a volunteer-run non-profit that organizes weekly social runs, gives back to the running community, and offers local racing opportunities. Registrations are final; deferrals may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
