Le Trail du Mont Sutton

Le Trail du Mont Sutton takes place at Mont Sutton in Sutton (671 Maple Street) on Saturday October 3, 2026, during the Autumn Festival. The start and finish are located at the ski area base and free parking is provided.

Four distances are offered with specific profiles and rules:

  • 1 km Le Brise-glace, 58 m, walking allowed, 12 years and under
  • 5 km Le Satisfait, 190 m, walking allowed, 6 years and older
  • 10.6 km L’Endurant, 410 m, race only, 16 years and older
  • 20.3 km Le Crinqué, 1 072 m, race only, 18 years and older

All courses are marked, secured, and timed. Water points are available on every distance; aid stations are located on the 5 km, 10.6 km and 20.3 km routes. Kilometer markers are in place. Participants on the 20.3 km route must be self sufficient for water.

Men’s and women’s podiums with age category awards are presented for each distance except the 1 km, where participation medals are given. There is no overall podium and no prize money. The STQ championship awards points on the 10.6 km and 20.3 km events. Registration fees are listed by distance and a limited season pass is available. Registration closes October 1 at midnight. Ultra Obscura is a multi loop ultramarathon at Mont Sutton on June 13 and 14 2026. Multiple distances and an 84 km relay on technical trails put emphasis on race strategy and resource management.

Trail event at Owl's Head in Mansonville on June 20 2026 offering 1, 5, 10 and 21 km courses. Marked and timed routes with water points and a 3 dollar donation per registration to Fondation Christian Vachon.

Trail at Parc national du Mont-Orford on 21 June 2026 offering distances from 2 km to 60 km, with routes through forest, ski tracks, ponds and an ascent of Mont Chauve.

A Fourth of July run/walk in Newport and Derby, VT, on gravel paths and wooded trails with distances from 2 miles to a half marathon; a portion of fees supports NAMI Vermont and ice cream follows the event.
