Défi Everest Orford 2026

The 7th Défi Everest Orford takes place from 25 to 27 September 2026 at Mont Orford, Orford, QC. It is a charity event benefiting AlterGo and the Fondation des sports adaptés with a fundraising target of 50 000 $.

Teams of hikers accompany people with functional limitations on ascents of Mont Orford using specialized equipment such as the Joëlette and the Trackz Mobilité hiking wheelchair. The group aim is to complete at least 19 ascents per day, which corresponds to the elevation of Mount Everest. Ascents are scheduled across three days with multiple departures each day.

Registration is available individually or by team. Individual registrants join an existing team as a hiker or as a participant with a functional limitation; each additional ascent requires a separate registration. For team registration, organizers receive the team name and number of hikers, and members then register individually. Participants are required to create a fundraising page with a minimum goal of 100 $ for individual registrations and 1 000 $ for team registrations. The event welcomes colleagues, friends, family members or solo participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
