Défi Everest Orford 2026

The 7th Défi Everest Orford takes place from September 25 to 27, 2026 at Mont Orford, Quebec. The event benefits AlterGo and the Fondation des sports adaptés and aims to raise 50,000 CAD.

Over several days, teams of hikers accompany people with functional limitations on ascents of Mont Orford using specialized equipment such as the Joëlette and the Trackz Mobilité hiking wheelchair. The collective challenge is to complete at least 19 ascents per day, a total that corresponds to the elevation of Mount Everest.

Registration is available individually or by team. Individual registrants may join an existing team either as a hiker or as a participant with a functional limitation; a separate registration is required for each ascent a person intends to make. Teams must communicate their composition, but each participant registers individually. A fundraising page is required for registrations: a minimum goal of 100 CAD for individual pages and 1,000 CAD for a team page.

The event is open to solo participants, groups of friends, families, and organizations seeking to mobilize around inclusion and adapted sport. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
