Le Trail de Wendake

The Trail de Wendake is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Complexe Desjardins de Wendake. Courses take place on marked, timed and secured trails and free parking is available on site.

The event centers on reconciliation and includes segments of the Onhwa Lumina route, a multimedia night walk that presents the history of the Huron-Wendat people through light and sound. Participants receive a related discount for Onhwa Lumina.

The event site includes several areas for participants and visitors: a food area with a partner tent, the Sagamité food truck and a Be Healthy - Love Berry sales point; an artisan area featuring Indigenous businesses and makers; and a family area with a cross training course created by X Training Wendake plus traditional dance and singing performances.

Available distances:

  • 1 km - family outdoor course, walk or run
  • 2 km - trail running initiation
  • 5 km - outdoor course with limited technical difficulty
  • 10 km - primarily trail running course
  • 21 km - long distance trail course

All routes provide water points. Aid stations are on the 5 km, 10 km and 21 km courses. Amenities include a participation gift, a snack for participants, a craft and souvenir shop, changing rooms and toilets. Medals will be awarded by sex and age category for each distance except 1 km and 2 km, which receive participation medals. No overall podium or cash prizes are offered.
