Défi Gendarme de fer

The Défi Gendarme de fer is a unique sporting and charitable event held in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It features trail running courses combined with various obstacles based on actual police training programs.

The event takes place in two locations, Montreal and Quebec City. It is open to a wide range of participants, including adults, teenagers, and children, with no specific fitness level requirements. The primary goal of the event is to raise funds for the Pediatric Research Foundation.

Participants can choose from several distances and categories:

  • Kids 1 km + obstacles.
  • 2.5 km + obstacles.
  • 5 km + obstacles.
  • 10 km + obstacles.
  • Elite Wave 10 km + obstacles (isolated start for uninterrupted competition).

Three ways to participate are available. Individual runners receive a personal timing chip to track their results in the solo categories. Teams of 2 to 10 people can compete together, with the final ranking based on the average time of all team members. A corporate category is also available for companies looking for team-building opportunities while supporting a charitable cause. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
