Laurel Highlands Ultra - June 13, 2026

The Laurel Highlands Ultra is a collection of point to point trail races held in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 2026. The courses use the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail and nearby corridors in Laurel Ridge State Park.

Distances offered include:

  • 70.5 Miler
  • 70.5 Relay
  • 50K
  • 50K Relay

The 70.5 mile individual and relay courses run the full length of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail to Route 56 in Seward, PA. The 50K races finish near the 31 mile point by the intersection with Route 31. All races are point to point rather than out and back.

Entry limits and registration structure are specified for 2026. The 70 Mile event has 210 individual spots, released in three separate blocks of 70 spots each. The 50K has 250 spots. The 70 Mile Relay and the 50K Relay each have 15 team spots. Entry numbers can change based on race director concerns or deferral, including covid, smoke, or flooding. Registrations open and remain available according to the event schedule; registration closes on June 6, 2026.

The 2026 running marks the forty seventh consecutive running of the 70.5 mile race and the twenty first running of the 50K. Organizers acknowledge that the races take place on the original homelands of the Monongahela, Shawnee, and other nomadic nations, and note the painful history of genocide and forced removal while honoring Indigenous peoples still connected to the land.
