Last Human Standing - West Greenwich, RI
This is a Last Human Standing trail race held on private property adjacent to Big River Management Area in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Organizers disclose the exact site address to registrants and their crews. Parking at the site is limited, and entrants are asked to limit vehicles to one per runner; organizers may allow additional entries if carpooling is confirmed.
The event format uses a single loop repeated at regular hourly intervals. Runners must complete each loop in under 60 minutes to earn the right to continue to the next loop. The same loop and the same rules apply for each successive start. The race continues in this pattern until only one runner remains. The final athlete must be standing at the starting line ready for the next start and then complete one more loop than the second to last non finisher to be declared the Last Human Standing.
A course preview is available on Strava; because the course is on private property, participants are asked to avoid previewing the course outside of official preview group runs. Results from past events are available for the dates June 10, 2022; June 10, 2023; June 1, 2024; and June 21, 2025, plus the inaugural event on November 19, 2021.
