Trail Running Calendar Rhode Island 2026-2027

Run the Stonington Cross Country 5K in Pawcatuck at Stonington High School on Wednesday August 5. The scenic course starts and finishes on the track and winds through quiet streets, trails and grassy crossings for a community run.

Join the Charlie Stavros Memorial Beach Run on September 15, 2026 in Westerly, Rhode Island, a free 3 mile beach run honoring a beloved local runner. Enjoy a scenic low tide out and back along Westerly Town Beach with friends and family.

The Ocean State XC Invitational will take place in East Greenwich on Saturday 26 September 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.

The Run for the Pumpkins Trail Run will take place in Westerly on Saturday 3 October 2026. You can run between 5 and 10 kilometers.

A trail run at Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton on October 17, 2026, covers about 3 miles of uneven trails and finishes among the vines. After the run there is dinner, wine, music and a souvenir wine glass for race participants.

The Grills Trail Run will take place in Westerly on Saturday 24 October 2026. You can run between 10 and 10 miles.

Enjoy scenic trails around Watchaug Pond at the Li'l Rhody Runaround on November 15, 2026, with 8 mile and 4 mile course options. Part of the WTAC Fall Trail Race Series, it welcomes runners of all levels.
