Course and logistics

The trail course is described as approximately 9 miles with shortcuts available to create shorter routes. The full trail typically takes 80 to 120 minutes to complete. Trails are well-marked. Conditions often include snow, ice, fallen trees and stream crossings; footing can be hazardous and the route may require climbing over, under or around obstacles. Participants may start and stop as they wish during the event period and are encouraged to run with a partner. If snow is deep, the event may use park roads. The organizers state the event has not been canceled in past years when roads to Fabius remained open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
