Lakeside Loops 5K/10K

Lakeside Loops is a summer evening trail event at Stony Creek Metropark, using Eastwood Beach as the main gathering area and start/finish vicinity. The course is a marked trail through the park and all entrants receive chip timing and a finisher medal.

Distances offered:

• 3.1 miles 5K trail run/walk
• 6.2 miles 10K trail run
• 6.2 miles 10K trail ruck

Registration fees vary by date. Early registration price through May 24 is $24 for each division. Later rates and race day prices differ by event and date range as listed by the organizer.

The 10K ruck division is introduced at this event to serve ruckers and hikers; it is described as community-focused rather than competitive. There are no weigh-ins, weighted items are discretionary, and recommended minimum weights are noted for men and women. The 10K ruck offers a ruck patch only as an award.

Included with registration while supplies last are a soft muscle shirt or tank, a finisher medal, marked trails, post-event gathering at Eastwood Beach, age group awards in running categories, and chip timing for all entrants.

Participants are responsible for the park vehicle pass required by Huron-Clinton Metroparks. A daily pass and discounted senior passes are available per park rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
