Lakeland Trails at Helvellyn is a trail event at Glenridding on the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District National Park on 31 October 2026. The event uses well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways that run into the foothills of Helvellyn and include short sections of tarmac. Courses are mainly off road with varied terrain; some sections may be tricky underfoot. Start and finish are at Jenkin's Field with finish under the event gantry.

Race format, entry and rules
There are separate 5k, 10k and two 15k options (Challenge and Race). Minimum ages apply for each distance. The 15k Challenge is for non-competitive runners and walkers and is not eligible for 15k prizes. Race numbers must be worn horizontally for timing to work. There are no water stations on course; competitors must carry their own water and cup. In-ear headphones are prohibited; bone conduction headphones are permitted. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Logistics, safety and facilities
Registration and baggage storage are provided in the main marquee. Parking at King George V Fields is cash only; a fee of £5 per car is stated (TBC). Organisers arranged shuttle buses from Penrith to Glenridding for afternoon 15k competitors. A recommended kit list may be made compulsory in poor weather and includes a hat, gloves, waterproof jacket and over-trousers or running tights. Event medics and marshals will be on site.
