Lakeland Trails 24 Hours

Lake District National Park, United Kingdom • 26 Sep 2026

Event Overview

A new event format for 2026 called 24 Hours on the Trails will take place on 26th September at Leighton Hall. It is described as family-friendly, welcoming, inclusive, and fun, similar to the organizer's other events.

Event Format

The event runs for 24 hours. The rules are simple: participants can run or walk whenever they want, for as long as they want, within that time period. The focus is on flexibility and camaraderie. People can participate solo, run with a partner, or take turns in a tag team or group.

Course Details

The course is 5 km long, relatively flat, and entirely offroad. To provide variety, the direction of the loop is alternated.

Entry and Prizes

Entry will be available in several options: Solo, Pair (one runner at a time), Couple (both running together), and Team (3-12 runners). Prizes will be awarded in two categories: one for the people who cover the most ground (the furthest distance) and another for those who spend the most time on their feet.
