24 Hours on the Trails (Leighton Hall)

24 Hours on the Trails is a 24 hour offroad running and walking event set within the grounds of Leighton Hall in the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cumbria (postal code LA5 9ST). The scheduled date is 26 September 2026. Participants may run or walk at any time during the 24 hour period and can plan their own pattern of laps.

The event offers three entry categories with age minimums: Individual entries require a minimum age of 18; Couples require a minimum age of 18 and take turns with only one person on course at a time until the celebration lap; Teams allow 3 to 12 runners, require a minimum age of 16, and also run with one person on course at a time until the celebration lap. Teams and couples can choose how long each person runs before swapping.

The course is an all offroad loop, relatively flat, measuring 5 km. Direction on the loop will be alternated during the event to provide variety. Prizes are planned for those who cover the greatest distance and for those who spend the most time on their feet. Organisers note there will be activities available for participants when they are not running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
