L100 Recce 2: Ambleside - Coniston

The event is a recce run for the Montane Lakeland 50 and 100 series held on Saturday 17 January 2026. It starts from Ambleside Primary School, Vicarage Road, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 9DH. This recce covers 16 miles on the section of the race course from Ambleside to Coniston and is run in the evening as a "night" run. Full kit is required and there are checkpoint cut off times, so participants must be fit enough to meet those cut offs.

Event details

Entry opens 25 September 2025 and closes 15 January 2026. The entry fee is £30. Each recce registration includes coach transport, medical support and basic refreshments at checkpoints. Only runners who have been confirmed as having a place in the Lakeland 100 or 50 for 2026 should enter; entries made by others will be cancelled and the fee returned less a £5 administration charge. The recce is one of a series of dates for 2025-26, which also include 23 November 2025, 22 March 2026 and 14 June 2026.
