The Guided Lairig Ghru Crossing is a guided trail run through the iconic Lairig Ghru, taking place on Saturday 24th August 2024. The route is 32km long with around 600 meters of ascent, including some of the most inaccessible trail running in the UK. Participants will run with a small team and an experienced guide, following in the footsteps of Highland cattle raiders and drovers. The event includes a morning transfer from Aviemore to the Linn of Dee, where the run will start back north. The trail includes 5 km of rough rocky trail and boulder fields, so a reasonable level of fitness and experience of similar trail runs is essential.
