Event Overview
The Lag Bon 10K is a trail race taking place near Fairfax, California. The event aims to raise money and awareness for access to clean drinking water. Ticket sales beyond event costs will be donated to the NGO Evidence Action for its Safe Water Now program.
Course Details
The 10 km course starts and finishes at the Lake Lagunitas Picnic Area. The trail run is described as moderately challenging and technical, featuring stairs, bridges, roots, and rocks, as well as flat sections. The total elevation change is approximately 400 feet. The event is held regardless of weather. Aid stations and bathrooms are located near the Bon Tempe Dam at the 3.5-mile point and at the start/finish area. There is a 2-hour time limit to complete the course. Dogs and strollers are not permitted.
Registration & Logistics
- Registration is $50 and includes an event T-shirt, finisher medal, stickers, and GU energy gels or chews.
- Registrations after March 6th may not receive the requested shirt size.
- The event is limited to 100 runners. There is no race day registration, and bib transfers are not allowed.
- Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the San Francisco Running Company in Mill Valley.
Prizes
Gift cards to the San Francisco Running Company are awarded to the top three finishers in the Men, Women, and Non-binary divisions: $50 for 1st place, $20 for 2nd, and $10 for 3rd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
