Event Overview

The Lag Bon 10K is a trail running event taking place on Sunday, March 22, 2026. The race starts and finishes at the Lagunitas picnic area at the end of Sky Oaks Road in Fairfax, California. The event aims to raise money and awareness for the global water crisis. Proceeds above the event's cost will be donated to the NGO Evidence Action for its Safe Water Now program.

Course Information

The race is a moderately challenging and beautiful 10 km course. Runners will encounter technical terrain including stairs, bridges, roots, and rocks, alongside flat trail sections. The total elevation gain and loss is approximately 400 feet. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. There is a 2-hour time limit to complete the course. No dogs or strollers are permitted.

Registration and Details

The registration fee is $50 and includes an event T-shirt, a finisher medal, stickers, and GU energy gels or chews. Registrations after March 6th may not receive the requested shirt size. Participation is limited to 100 runners to minimize environmental impact. Race day registration is not available, and bib transfers are not allowed. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st at the San Francisco Running Company's Mill Valley location.

Prizes

Prizes are gift cards to the San Francisco Running Company. First-place runners in the Men's, Women's, and Non-binary divisions each receive a $50 gift card. Trail runs nearby

Trail runs on Mt. Tam near Stinson Beach with 10K, Half, and 30K options across technical trails and major elevation changes; cupless aid stations, chip timing, and a 300-runner field.

Trail endurance races at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline offering 12 hour, 6 hour and 3 hour options for individuals or teams of two or three. The 3.37 mile loop runs mostly on dirt fire trails with shoreline views and eucalyptus groves.

A trail race in the Marin Headlands with 8K, half, 30K and 50K options along coastal single-track and fire roads, marked courses, cupless aid stations, and a 350 runner capacity.

A time-based trail event at Napa’s Skyline Wilderness Park with 12, 6, and 3 hour options plus relays, main loops of about 4.1 miles with 815 feet elevation per loop, and a short finishing loop for the final 40 minutes.
