The race is a 5K distance run entirely on trails within Kuehn Conservation park. The route is described as a 100% single and double track trail loop. The course goes through prairie trails in upland areas and through woods and prairies along the bottom of the Raccoon River.
The Location
Kuehn Conservation is a county park established in 1982 by the Dallas County Conservation Board. It encompasses over 1000 acres along the Raccoon River. The area features native and restored prairie, woodland, and floodplain environments. Archaeological evidence indicates the area has been used by humans for thousands of years.
