Event Details

This is a round of the KNC orienteering series held in Mote Park. The event is described as an old favorite that can be surprisingly tricky.

The event features a 60-minute score course, which is suitable for all abilities. There is an entry limit of 40 participants. Registration is online and in advance only; no entries are accepted on the day.

Parking is available on the street at Grovewood Drive South in Maidstone, near the junction with Weavering Street. The nearest postcode is ME14 5BX. The post-event gathering (Apres-O) is at the Newnham Court Pub on Newnham Court Way, Maidstone (ME14 5LH). Pre-ordering food via the race signup form is essential.

For beginners, there is an option on the entry form to request additional help from the event organizer. Helpful introductory videos are also available online.

Entry Information

Entry fees are as follows:

  • Individual Senior (member/non-member): £7.00 / £10.00
  • Junior (under 21 on 31st December): £4.00
  • Group entry (member/non-member): £12.00 / £15.00

A basic non-SIAC electronic timing dibber is available for loan. Competitors participate at their own risk. If a participant has a relevant medical condition, they are advised to complete a medical form from the organizer's website and hand it to the organizer in a sealed envelope on the day.
