KNC 10 at Betteshanger takes place on Thursday 11th December as a round of the KNC in east Kent. The terrain is parkland with open areas, wooded areas and rough open land. The site is a former mining area with manmade features and many paths; some paths are ever-changing bike trails and are not all mapped. The format is a 60-minute score course with 21 controls and 10 dumbbells. Deductions apply for each full or part minute returned late.

Practical information

Entry is online advance registration only. Entry limit: 40 (3 entered at the time of listing). Entry fees: Senior members £4.00, senior non-members £7.00; juniors £4.00 (juniors defined as under 21 on 31 December); group entries £9.00 (member) / £12.00 (non-member). A basic non-SIAC dibber is available for loan. If a competitor withdraws before the event, a credit note will be issued for future events.

Parking is at Betteshanger Visitor Centre (postcode CT14 0BF), signposted off the Sandwich Road A258. Pay on exit; tariffs are Up to 1 hour £2.50, 1–2 hours £3.50, 2–3 hours £4.50, 3+ hours £5.50. The event entrance fee will be discounted to compensate competitors for parking charges. Results will not be displayed on site; split prints are available and final results will be published after the event. Apres-O and prizegiving will be held at the Crown Inn, Finglesham; food pre-orders are recommended before midnight on Monday 8th December.
