Canterbury Riverside is a 10k road race held on Sunday March 22nd 2026. The field is limited to around 400 runners. The course is traffic-free and follows riverside pathways along the River Stour between Chartham and the centre of Canterbury. The route is an out-and-back that finishes at the event headquarters.

Route and prizes

The race starts at Chartham Village Hall and begins with one lap of the playing field before joining the River Stour pathway to a turning point at 'Toddlers Cove', then retraces back to the finish at the same headquarters. Medals and trophies are awarded for Male and Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd, age-group placings and the top team. Toilets are available at the race headquarters.

Logistics

Race headquarters: Chartham Village Hall, Station Road, Chartham, Kent CT4 7HZ. Numbers and timing chips are not posted and must be collected at registration. Entry fees listed are £20 / £22 for advance entries and £25 for on-the-day entries (cash only). Parking is directed to Bolts Hill, Bakers Lane and Parish Lane; participants are asked not to park in Stour Road. In-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conduction headphones are allowed.
