Canterbury Riverside 10K

The Canterbury Riverside 10K is an out and back running event that takes participants through riverside scenery. The route begins at the Chartham Village Hall car park and heads toward Canterbury before returning to the start point.

The course is primarily flat and follows a path alongside the river. Depending on the weather conditions, the terrain can include puddles and muddy sections, particularly at the turn around a bridge and through Toddler's Cove. The path can become narrow in sections where runners are traveling in both directions and sharing the space with pedestrians and cyclists.

Facilities at the race headquarters in the Chartham Village Hall include a dry space for participants, toilets, and a registration area. Refreshments such as tea and cakes are typically available for purchase, though these have historically been cash-only transactions.

Participants receive a finisher's medal upon completion of the race. During the event, a water station is located at approximately the 4 km mark, which has also been known to provide sweets and encouragement. Results are typically processed and provided after the race, sometimes in the form of a physical ticket printed with the official time at the finish area.

The event features a single distance: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
