Wye Not Wander

Wye Not Wander is an event held on 27 September 2026 from Village Hall, High Street, Wye, Ashford, Kent TN25 5EA. The routes follow the Stour Valley and the North Downs countryside and provide views of the Wye Crown carved into the chalk. The start is close to the railway station, about 300 yards away.

Entry periods run from 9 March 2026 to 18 September 2026. Entries are recorded via SiEntries with no entries taken on the day. Entry fees vary by distance and membership: 27 miles £15 members £22 non members; 20 miles £13 members £18 non members; 15 miles £11 members £18 non members. Entries so far number 90 participants.

Checkpoints provide hot and cold drinks and food, and a meal is served at the finish. A finishers certificate is provided. All entrants must carry their own mug or receptacle; none are provided though mugs may be available to buy at the start. Route descriptions must be carried and will be available from the Kent Group website together with .gpx files. Participants are advised to carry a map mapcase and compass; recommended maps are OS Explorers 137 138 and 150 or OS Landranger 179. Parking is limited.
