Kismet Cliff Run

North Conway, United States • 14 Sep 2025

The Kismet Cliff Run, held annually in September in North Conway, New Hampshire, offers two challenging trail races set in the scenic White Mountains. Participants can choose the Little Beast 5 Miler, featuring technical single-track trails with steep ascents and descents around Echo Lake State Park, or the Beast of the East Half-Marathon, which extends the 5-mile course with a demanding 2,000-foot climb over North Moat Mountain’s granite Red Ridge. The half-marathon boasts over 4,300 feet of vertical gain and stunning views of the Presidential Range and Pemi Wilderness. Aid stations are strategically placed, and trekking poles are permitted for half-marathoners after mile 4.1. The rugged terrain and exposure to weather make this a tough but rewarding event.
