King of the Hill 2027 - Los Lunas

King of the Hill 2027 is a trail running event on March 6, 2027 at El Cerro De Preserve Trail Head in Los Lunas, New Mexico. The event features 100% trail running on courses laid out in the El Cerro de Los Lunas Preserve.

The event offers the following distances:

  • Half marathon

The 10K and half marathon courses include large elevation changes and scenic views. This is the eighth annual edition and the event has grown each year. Race entry fees vary by distance and registration date; race day fees are listed as $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $60 for the half marathon. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall men and women: $300 for first, $200 for second, and $100 for third. Packet pick up and in-person registration are scheduled Friday noon to 5pm at Daniel Fernandez Recreation Center, 1103 HWY 314 SW, Los Lunas 87031, and there is day of packet pick up and registration the morning of the event.
